To the silliness that is L,
You have been particularly silly lately. Most of the time this is a good thing. Sometimes... not so much. Let's highlight the good. You are trying SO HARD to talk. You try to say almost every word we ask you to say. Unfortunately, your words rarely ever sound like the words we ask you to say. For example, "caterpiller" becomes 'bic-a-bith-i-lr". Yeah, not even close. "Spoons" are "boons". Closer, my friend. And "bowls" are "bbbow-ls". Basically right. You try SO HARD to keep up with Joel. He goes 100 miles a minute when he is excited about something. You go about 1 mile in 100 minutes. This, of course, is only in relation to running. Which you just haven't mastered (it is funny to watch you try, though). But in terms of getting into anything and everything, you are a speed demon. You try SO HARD to be patient. Okay, that is a bold face lie. You are worse with patience than Mommy. And that is saying a lot. Take, for instance, today. We made banana pops. When I took yours away and covered it in foil, you about died from crying. It was sad. I was finally able to calm you down enough to have you help me stick it in the freezer. BIG mistake. You about died [again] from crying. Honestly, it was a little... pathetic... this time. Stood by the freezer for 5 minutes, trying to open it up to get to your banana pop. You might have thrown yourself on the floor. And rolled around. While thrashing you limbs. I made it better by pulling out our coffee filter butterfly activity. You forgot the banana pops completely. And when it came time to eat them, you were as happy as can be. Did better with them than J (but in his defense, his fell off the stick). L, you are my silliest silly. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
Love, Mommy
Ps. You have been walking around the last few days screaming "die". I don't think that is what you are trying to say. But it definitely sounds like it...
