Silly, silly L,
Sometimes there are no words for your silliness. All we can do is shake our heads or laugh. Tonight we made a family trip to the grocery store. We normally go on Saturdays, but as tomorrow is Christmas Eve we decided to do it a day earlier. There were no car shopping carts. The carts where you and J can ride in the car at the front of the basket and "drive" us around the store. We brave it with you and J walking. Fruit section first. Dada asked you two to help me get apples. After manhandling every apple, I send you back to Dada to bother him. I run into someone I've known for years and stop to have a conversation. Just as I am telling her that I love the craziness that comes with having my babies so close, L I watch you walk back to the apples out of the corner of my eye. And grab one. And take a bite. Annnnnnd put it back. Yup. I quickly end the conversation and rush over to you. I find the eaten apple and toss it to Dada. As I am doing so, you grab ANOTHER apple. And take a bite. And put it back. Ugh. Dada hunts for the second apple. And you run over to the cucumbers. Grab one. And just as you start to bite down I rip it away from your hands. Sigh. REALLY?! The entire trip was exhausting. But we made it. At home, you neglect your dinner and head for the couch. I hear Dada getting after you for something. I lean over to assess the situation. Dada is holding an apple. Which had been sitting in our fruit bowl on the counter. The apple is partially eaten and you have a devious little grin on your face. And just now, you grabbed a banana from the bowl. And try biting into it, peel and all. L. How about you hold off on the fruit unless we okay it. I love you, even when you act like I do not feed you.
Love,
Mommy
