Dear silly, surprising L,
I don't give you enough credit. Most people don't. You often fall in J's shadow for many things. It's not a good excuse. But it's the one we use. We were off running errands today when we came to a four-way stop. J exclaimed, "Look Mommy! Octagons." I asked J how many octagons he saw. "Three!" Actually, there are eight. Can you count to eight, J? "One?" Yep, keep going. L, this is where you chime in. "Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, tem!" WHAT?! I was in a complete state of disbelief. Since when do you know how to count more than, "One, two, one, two, one"? Clearly you are learning more than I realize. Even though you learn at a different pace than J, you ARE learning. Makes me swell with pride.
Love,
Mommy
