My silly, frustrated L,
While out shopping today, a store clerk noticed my difficulties in keeping all three of you boys happy. She offered to give you and J balloons. It worked for about 2.5 seconds. The moment I tried to tie the balloons to your wrists or clothes so they would not float off, both of you freaked. Balloons = temporary happiness. Later in the day, after nap, you were excited to play with your balloons again. But alas, L, your balloon had lost its lift and was hopping across the floor. Whilst J's balloon was staying strong on the ceiling. You were infuriated. Grabbed the string and started batting the balloon around in frustration. Next thing I know, you are on the ground whining and flailing. You got into a fight with the balloon. And lost. The string was wrapped all around your little body. You were putting up quite the fight. Hitting it every chance you got. Screaming at the balloon. I just laughed at your distress. This experience has taught me not to buy you balloons in the near future. Even if your birthday party is days away...
Love,
Mommy
