Oh J, silly J,
You have been my weird health child. Since birth. Severe eczema appeared at 2 or 3 months of age. Still something we are trying to combat. This will be a life-long battle, I'm afraid. You got really sick this past Christmas. Tonsillitis. Any your tonsils have been enlarged since. Resulting in 12 separate cases of the flu or cold. So exhausting. Last September, when we were in Utah, you had a breathing episode. Middle of the night. Heavy wheezing. Stopped breathing. Started panicking. Freaked Mommy out (and she doesn't scare too easily with health issues). Well, you had another one of those episodes today. Your wheezing progressively got worse. The only way to stop you from panicking was to hold you. Took you to urgent care the moment Dada got home. Of course, you had to run around the doctors office and touch everything. But you were still wheezing like crazy, so I didn't feel the trip was wasted. Doc came in and, after checking you out, said you have Reactive Airway Disease (basically saying you have asthma without really diagnosing you with asthma). Gave you a breathing treatment. Mommy wasn't sure how you would handle the mask. You wore it like a pro. Didn't even try to take it off once. After a few minutes, you started saying some really silly things. And making REALLY silly faces. Hopefully treatment at home will go as smoothly with our new [expensive] nebulizer. I hate that you have to go through this, silly J.
Love,
Mommy
